Description Nonprofit leaders are constantly balancing visionary goals with practical limitations such as time, funding, staffing, and stakeholder demands. This hands-on three-hour workshop is designed to help you turn bold ideas into structured, achievable action plans. With tools and techniques adapted specifically for nonprofit environments, you’ll learn how to scope a project, build timelines, assign responsibilities, and track progress without losing sight of your mission. Whether you’re launching a new program, organizing an event, or managing an internal initiative, this workshop will provide simple, effective project management strategies that can be applied immediately, even if you’re not a “project manager” by title. Designed for busy professionals who wear many hats, this session emphasizes clarity, collaboration, and accountability to help you deliver impact on time and on budget. Participants will learn to: Break down strategic goals into actionable project plans Define project scope, objectives, stakeholders, and success metrics Create and manage realistic timelines using visual planning tools (Gantt charts, Kanban boards) Assign roles and responsibilities using tools like RACI matrices Monitor progress and adapt plans in response to changing conditions or resources Communicate effectively with internal teams and external partners Utilize low-cost or free project management platforms (e.g., Trello, Asana, Smartsheet) Foster accountability without micromanagement Close out projects with evaluations and lessons learned
